What these caravans are like
These are cosy, practical park-owned touring caravans sited on their own pitches around the fifteen acres. Inside you'll find a sofa bed — some units have a fixed double instead — a kitchenette with a hob and a sink, storage, and a seating area. They are heated and they are warm, and they are exactly the size a touring caravan is, which is to say compact and easy to keep.
There is a chemical toilet and a shower on board, but day to day you'll use the site's communal mains toilet and shower block, which is what almost everyone here does. Most residents keep the onboard facilities for the middle of the night and use the block otherwise. Each caravan has its own small private garden area outside, which is where a good deal of living happens between April and October.
This is our most affordable way to live at Willows without bringing a van of your own, and it's the option people most often start with. Several residents who arrived into one of these caravans later moved into an apartment or a cabin on site once one became free.
